Sefton Palm House Weddings

The Sefton Palm House in Sefton Park is amongst my favourite Liverpool wedding venues. I’ve photographed many weddings there over the last decade, and every single one has been special. It changes from week to week and season to season. Therefore it’s a place I never tire of even though I pass it nearly every day when I walk our dog through the park.

This unique wedding venue is a tourist attraction in its own right. As a wedding venue, the Sefton Park Palm House never fails to thrill wedding guests even those who’ve visited before. Set within Sefton Park itself this venue is always surrounded by nature both outside and in. It will reflect the seasons outside while retaining its own tropical plants and climate. Therefore your guests will stay warm and dry in all seasons. Even when there isn’t a leaf on the trees outside, Palm house is filled with green leaves and tropical flowers.

Another part of the Palm House charm is natural light in there during the day. Unlike conventional venues the time of day, season and weather outside are always visible from inside the Palm House. When it’s bright and sunny outside, its bright and sunny inside. The light in the Palm house is constantly changing as the sun moves. As it gets darker outside, the sky visible outside from in becomes a glowing orange backdrop before dusk. As night closes in the Sefton Palm House is beautifully lit. The night sky becomes a black background, the lighting shows off the striking white iron work, trees and plants beautifully.

Another beauty of the Palm House is that even when it rains, it still feels like an outdoor wedding. If the weather is good, your guests can wander around the outdoor garden area and Sefton Park. If the weather is less friendly, it’s staying inside is just as entertaining. Even if it’s cold outside, the custom designed heating system will keep your guests warm all year round. One reason I love the Sefton Palm House so much is the weather can’t spoil things.

One thing to note when planning your wedding at the Sefton Palm house, wedding ceremonies are generally after 4pm. This is because the Palm House is open to the public most days and availability of registrars. So be aware your wedding will be later. The Palm House can cater for surprisingly large weddings. With catering for up to 200 wedding guests. In addition, the Palm House is made of glass meaning large weddings never claustrophobic. However, due to its circular nature, it can also cater for smaller weddings without losing any of their intimacy. It won’t make your guests feel spaced out. As a result, the Palm House is perfect for large or small weddings.

The Palm House is regularly featured in magazines. In fact, one of my own weddings featured in ‘Your Mersey Wedding’ magazine. The venue has licensed security and a dedicated team of experienced wedding organisers. This ensures your wedding goes very smoothly. This is a fantastic venue for weddings, parties and corporate events.
