Liverpool Town Hall Weddings
Liverpool Town Hall can date its origins back to 1207, but the structure and the character of the building as it appears today has been largely down to the work of John Wood and was completed in 1754. John Wood (The Elder) was one of the leading architects of his generation and who’s most notable designs include the Circus and Queens Square in Bath. In fact, many of his designs from the early years of his career were concentrated in Baths and the North Somerset region. In fact, it is surprising and notable that Liverpool Town Hall is really the only remaining significant piece of architecture outside of the local region that remains by John Wood, it is a highly important building in historical architectural terms both for Liverpool and the nation as a whole.
It is not, however, common knowledge that Liverpool Town Hall was initially designed for wedding ceremonies to take place. In 1505, the first Liverpool Town Hall was constructed and this was designed specifically for performances and wedding ceremonies. The current Liverpool Town Hall has survived the ravages of time and treason and stands today as one of the finest locations for a wedding in the area. Flexibility within the building being one of the main benefits for wedding couples, with up to six different rooms available for alternative marriage and partnership ceremonies. The rooms vary in size with the smallest accommodating up to only 30 persons offering the ideal locations for a small intimate wedding. The council chamber offers the largest room with seating for up to 220 persons for a large marriage or wedding partnership ceremony in Liverpool Town Hall and is one of the best locations for wedding photography in Liverpool.
Rob has been commissioned as a Liverpool Town Hall wedding photographer for weddings and knows the venue inside and out. If you are having your entire wedding at this venue including ceremony and wedding breakfast or just having the ceremony and moving to an alternative location for the breakfast, Rob knows how to achieve the best shots. At old wedding venues, intimate knowledge of the venue is incredibly important for a wedding photographer to capture the finest wedding photographs. This is because these buildings were not constructed for modern access. Moving around certain rooms from one end to the other can sometimes be really tricky, especially in rooms such as the council chambers so you really do need to know all of the access points for each room.
Capturing the right images from the right angles is incredibly important if you want the finest wedding album for your special day. Having a working knowledge of a specific venue will always give the wedding photographer a distinct advantage in capturing the perfect images. Rob has a unique style, developed over several years as a professional commercial photographer and he knows the importance of being in the right place at the right time. For example, getting images of the bride and groom from and elevated position creates a fantastic modern and contemporary feeling to the specific image.
