Lee and Elisa’s beautiful wedding at the Midland Hotel Morecambe

It was an emotional journey for me shooting Lee and Elisa’s wedding at the spectacular Midland hotel in Morecambe. Its at least 30 years since I was last in Morecambe with my late grandma, it was great to return there for this awesome winter wedding!

Lee is an architect and the Midland Hotel in Morecambe is one of his favourite buildings, I can see why, it was a dream to shoot their wedding there. The brief was to include as much of the building and its unique beauty as possible… a challenge I met head on and loved every minute of.

It was an unexpectedly sunny day which gave us some great light and stunning skies later in the day.

I started out with Elisa for her bridal preparations, another relaxed bride, perfect!

Lee and Elisa had a lovely ceremony in the Midland hotel and the Morecambe registrars were really helpful too.

It was a really nice touch that Lee and Elisa had a classic ice cream van roll up as a treat to their guests and in keeping with this classic art deco building.

Being a beachfront hotel and a beautiful day had obvious benefits to a creative photographer like myself.
