I had a really fun engagement shoot around the Salford Quays last week with Danielle and Steven. Danielle and Steven are such a good laugh there was never a dull moment, their December wedding is going to be a blast! As with all my engagement shoots I like to choose a location style and season to the wedding. Salford Quays unique urban chic couldn’t be any more different to the classic style of Ordsal Hall (Salford). I would also be most surprised if we’ll be walking around in short sleeves at 8pm in December, this was one of the hottest evenings of the year – lovely!

It was great to spend time with Daniell and Steven, we spent a lot of time doubled up laughing looking like this!

Behind the scenes:

Salford Quays on hot sunny evening is a busy metropolis! Its full of couples walking, people having a swift drink or three after work in one office blocks, people fishing, kids ‘hanging’ and even some crazy people SWIMMING!! It wasn’t that warm! This is a behind the scenes shot, I love this image, its such a storytelling image. As an image it says so much about Danielle and Steven’s fun loving good humoured nature, it also speaks volumes about the youth culture and even my photography style (not the location lighting rig in the centre). These three inquisitive boys were charming and polite, they shared a joke with us then swiftly moved on to let us get on with our shoot.
