Manchester Town Hall | Lydia and Chris
Wedding photography in Manchester doesn’t get much grander than at Manchester Town Hall. Its always cool to photograph there and when you also have a fun couple into their wedding photography like Lydia and Chris, it’s even better! Since photographing their engagement shoot last month around Castlefields I’ve been really looking forward to their wedding.
Manchester Radisson blu Edwardian
Lydia’s bridal preparations were at the elegant Radisson blu Edwardian in Manchester. The Edwardian is simply stunning, situated in the old free trade hall this 5 star hotel has it all. Huge rooms with lots of great light, balconies with views over the city and an exterior to die for. The Radisson was a perfect match for Lydia and really suited her classy wedding dress complete with feather bolero. The Edwardian is a lovely hotel with light airy rooms that are great for photographers. Once Lydia’s hair and makeup was perfect it was time to put on her wedding dress and take a few bridal portraits.

Lydia’s wedding dress was so her! She looked fabulous ready for a few bridal photos.
Manchester Town Hall
I arrived at Manchester Town Hall to find a surprisingly relaxed Chris talking to friends.
I love photographing weddings in Manchester Town Hall, its an amazing building. Climbing that grand spiral staircase to get married must fill brides with an enormous sense of occasion.
The registrars in Manchester are among the best there are and know how to make a wedding special. They are also highly photography friendly which is sadly not the case everywhere.

Lydia and Chris chose to lead their guests through Manchester city centre to their reception venue, The Stock Exchange restaurant. It looked like something out of a film and was quite a spectacle for passers by.
They chose to have their speeches before the wedding breakfast, this is increasingly popular and stops any nerves spoiling the meal. The food in the exchange was special.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my Manchester wedding photography pictures from the day…
