Knowsley Hall Weddings in Liverpool
Knowsley Hall weddings are something special. One of the grandest wedding venues in the North West, it’s easily one of my favourites. If you are looking for a grand stately home, steeped in history then look no further.
Knowsley Hall is a beautiful piece of architecture. That first view as you drive through the gates never fails to impress. In a word it’s breathtaking. With breathtaking aspects to front and rear, Knowsley Hall is a dream backdrop for your wedding. It’s just as impressive inside making it even more unique.
The estate is situated in beautiful walled grounds and offered exclusively for the day. This gives you complete privacy so you’ll you feel like superstars for the day. In fact, Knowsley Hall has welcomed royal visitors before.
Inside, you are greeted with various period styles including Jacobean, Baroque, and Victorian interiors. SO, It’s a visual delight which makes it the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography.
However, the thing that makes Knowsley Hall so good is the wedding team. They really look after their couples and wedding guests. They never appear flustered and nothing seems like too much trouble. The team at Knowsley love what they do and really know how to make people feel special.
Weddings at Knowsley Hall
The Stucco Ballroom used for the ceremony is stunning. It has with ornate walls and ceiling in an oppulent blue and gold. The Ballroom has a capacity of up to 144 guests. As a bride, walking down the red-carpeted aisle must be an amazing wedding day experience. Unlike many stately homes, the light in this room is sublime. Photography is all about light, and beautiful light is an essential ingredient for beautiful photographs. Sorry to keep talking about light, however, I am a wedding photographer. It’s one of the things I love about Knowsley Hall.
Another great benefit of Knowsley Hall is the amount of space both inside and out. Even if it rains on your day, your guests have lots of space. Therefore even large weddings never feel cramped.
While on the subject of the ceremony, it’s time to tell you about the excellent Knowsley registrars (based in Prescot). When it comes to registrars, consider yourself very lucky. I’ve photographed weddings all over the country, and few are as good. A friendly celebrant makes for a memorable marriage ceremony. They are very helpful and friendly towards wedding photographers. Photography friendly registrars mean you’ll have the perfect record of your wedding. Don’t take this for granted; there are parts of the country that registrars don’t allow photography! The Knowsley Registrars make the difference between great wedding photographs and none at all.
Situated on 2500 acres of private land, so perfect for those looking for a private wedding. On warm dry days, your guests can stand on the front steps or explore the gardens to the rear. The gardens create a superb backdrop to weddings.
Your guests will be treated to a menu of fine food. The menu is designed by Paul Macnish, Executive Chef to the Knowsley Estate. The Earl and Countess of Derby themselves taste and approve each dish on the menu. Therefore and needless to say, the food is every bit as good as you would expect from this luxury venue.
When it comes to guest accommodation, Knowsley Hall continues to impress. Visit Britain awarded this venue a 5* Gold standard making it the only stately home to achieve this. The Hall offers 16 luxurious en-suite bedrooms. There are plenty of hotels nearby so those guests not staying at the estate.
All weather venue
If the weather is cold and your wedding is forced inside, your guests will be surrounded in style and luxury. There are several different rooms, each boasting their own unique decor. Therefore, Knowsley Hall weddings are perfect at any time of the year, whatever the weather.
Knowsley Hall’s heritage date’s back to the 12 century so it’s steeped in history. You can read about this here, it is quite fascinating.
I’ve photographed weddings in many different stately homes. Knowsley Hall does it all and does it extremely well so you and your guests will have an amazing day.
